Recovery planning

  • Document the reseller account, Google customer identity, administrator usernames, billing contacts, and domain verification method.
  • Confirm the clinic has a functioning Super Administrator that is not solely controlled by the reseller.
  • Keep registrar and DNS access available because domain verification may be needed during recovery.

Before changing providers

  • Determine whether the subscription can be transferred or must be repurchased.
  • Preserve mail routing and user access during the transition.
  • Export documentation and verify backup or retention needs before making destructive changes.

Separate the relationships

The domain registrar, Google Workspace reseller, and Google Workspace administrator may be three different roles. Paying for Workspace through a registrar does not necessarily make the registrar the technical administrator of every Workspace setting.

Document the reseller path

Record who bills the subscription, where users and licenses are managed, how support is opened, who can reset the super administrator, and what happens if the domain or reseller account becomes inaccessible.

Exit planning

Before changing resellers or moving platforms, export billing records, verify super-administrator access, preserve DNS, inventory users and data, and understand transfer or cancellation timing.
